Hilde grew up away from her family, without a name. One day, a friend gave her the name Hildegard, while she choose the surname Valentine. While she would learn her birth later in life, she still uses her friend's chosen name - it feels weird otherwise.She fills many roles: cook, seamstress, a fledgeling alchemist... she's not a master at any particular thing, but is a woman of many hobbies (most of which she tries and then drops for moons at a time).
